Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia has instructed all Cambodian embassies and overseas representatives to notify both Cambodian and foreign travelers to avoid transiting through Thailand and to temporarily suspend the use of Thai airline services.
According to letter No. 15025 MFA.IC/LP6, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on December 22, 2025: “I would like to inform Your Excellencies, Ambassadors, Consuls General, and Honorary Consuls that since the outbreak of armed aggression against Cambodian territory, Thai authorities have committed inappropriate acts, causing difficulties and fear for foreign travelers and Cambodian citizens transiting through Thailand to Cambodia. These actions include detention for questioning, video recording, and luggage searches.”
This measure is intended to prevent further intimidation and inappropriate treatment by Thai authorities until further notice.
