Cambodia demands that the Thai side cease all deliberate dissemination of false information aimed at diverting attention from its own violations of international law by painting Cambodia in a bad light, solely as a pretext to escalate tension for the purpose of serving its aggressive actions against Cambodia.

The Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia completely rejects the content presented in the official announcement of the Royal Thai Navy and in some Facebook pages. Specifically, the claim that «Cambodian forces have infiltrated Trat province and are attempted to destroy military bases and administrative agencies» is a complete fabrication and fake news.

Cambodia demands that the Thai side immediately cease the intentional dissemination of false information. This disinformation campaign is clearly designed to divert international attention from Thailand’s violations of international law by falsely portraying Cambodia as an aggressor, thereby serving as an excuse to increase tensions and support its ongoing aggression against Cambodia.
